Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter on WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. O'Dell later became an anchor for morning news on WCBD TV and also as the crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reports on the lenient police approach to DUI cases resulted in an State Law Enforcement Division investigation which resulted in the state authorities re-issuing the strictest guidelines regarding the cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by her colleagues at the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Awards to all media South Carolina. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. As well as her job as the lead anchor for Access Hollywood Ms. O'Dell is also an anchor for NBC News' Today and as well for Dateline NBC. She has covered such events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as and co-hosted a variety of Pre-ShowArrivals shows for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. Co-hosted also the Miss USA pageant and the Miss Universe pageant.
